Kernun Branch Access

Branch security policies
Kernun Branch Access provides a secure branch connection into the central internal network, which is protected by strong encoding tools. The branch access to the Internet may be realized through the central server Kernun Net Access or directly through Kernun Branch Access. In the first case, the management policy of the branch operation is implied through the central server, using all advantages that it has to offer, such as detailed management on the application layer or by projecting the operation into statistics. In the second case, the branch connection to the Internet is controlled via a modern and sophisticated packet filter.
Kernun Branch Access is a hardware VPN client, designed to provide connection between branches and the centre. It is compatible with Kernun VPN Access and Kernun Net Access technologies.

Stateful packet inspection
All communication is checked by packet inspection tool. Modern and advanced stateful packet engine offers remote OS detection, bandwidth management and DoS protection combined with high level of both throughput and security. Moreover, bi-directional address translation, traffic normalization and detail connection logs are available.

Typical implementation
Kernun Branch Access is installed in a branch, where employees need to work remotely with the company information system, operated in the centre. Occasionally, they use www, mail, Internet voice services, etc. Kernun Branch Access provides secure and fast access to the information system and to web pages. Email services are also directed into the tunnel and managed at the central UTM. On the other hand, voice services (VoIP) are routed directly to Internet so they will not use up the capacity of the line going into the branch.
